Why do you say Membrandt is a Platform?

Membrandt is a platform for a few reasons. First off, the app we create is YOUR app and it is installed into your Apple and Google developer accounts and listed under your company within the app stores. Right now, there is no Membrandt app — it's a platform that creates YOUR app. In the near future we will also have a Membrandt app as well, but it will be a client-serving app for clients of Membrandt.

Membrandt is a platform because it is NOT custom code. While your app is very customizable, it is not coded from scratch. This is a good thing! If we were a programming shop selling custom apps, you would be paying 10x more and the development time would take 6 months to roll out and another 6 months to fix the bugs. That is just the hard reality of custom development and anyone that tells you differently has never developed an app.

We have many client horror stories where they have spent $10k, $25, $60k and even more than $150k developing a custom app that they are not even using now — a complete waste of time and money. And it's no surprise, custom apps have an 86% failure rate six months into their lifecycle. What that means is that six months after starting, they are either already removed from the app stores, never released, never completed or abandoned.
